Initial Assessment Fees

Before proceeding, we want you to feel clear about the costs involved in your care.

Your initial assessment fee depends on the pathway you are referred for and covers the first stage of your care, including the appointment, the related clinical work, and an initial prescription if clinically recommended.

Depending on your outcome and next steps, there may also be additional costs after your initial assessment, particularly if medication is recommended and you choose to commence treatment.

There may be additional costs after your initial assessment if you are diagnosed, medication is recommended, and you choose to commence treatment.

We encourage you to read through the potential additional costs so you can factor them into your decision before proceeding.

Medication Reviews

If medication is recommended after your initial assessment and you choose to proceed, follow-up reviews with your Fluence Clinic psychiatrist are required while your treatment is adjusted and monitored.

This stage is called titration. It is an important part of safe prescribing and helps your psychiatrist review your medication, dose, side effects, and any monitoring needs before your care moves to a less frequent review schedule or possible shared care arrangement.

The timeline below shows the usual review requirements during titration.

2 weeks after initial
First medication review after your initial appointment
Every 4 weeks
Ongoing reviews to adjust medication until stabilised
Reviews as needed
Arranged for clinical review or shared care support

Note: Your review schedule may differ depending on your medication, response to treatment, side effects, or monitoring needs.

Your psychiatrist will explain what is recommended and why, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions so you can make informed decisions about your care.

In addition to the initial appointment, there are other possible costs that are associated with continued care.

This is most relevant if you are diagnosed during your assessment and medication treatment is recommended.

Potential additional costs are:

Some medications require physical health checks before starting treatment or during ongoing care.

Follow-Up Care Fees

Follow-up care with Fluence Clinic can involve different fees depending on where you are in your treatment.

  • During titration, you will need review appointments with your psychiatrist as per the above timeline.
  • Once stabilised, private prescriptions may be available where clinically appropriate if shared care is not in place.

Once stable, medication reviews will typically become less frequent and are arranged as needed for clinical review or shared care support.

Medication Review Appointment

£250 per appointment

Reviews are required until stabilisation if medication is recommended and you commence treatment following your initial appointment. Reviews may also be clinically required after stabilisation to support continued care.

Private Prescription

£75 per prescription issued

This may apply once your medication is stabilised if shared care does not commence, or if you would prefer to continue privately.
