Useful to Know
ADHD is often missed until adulthood
ADHD is estimated to affect 3-4% of adults in the UK, but recorded diagnosis rates remain lower, particularly among females.
Many people reach adulthood before ADHD is recognised, especially when symptoms are mainly inattentive, internalised, masked, or mistaken for other difficulties.
An assessment can help explore whether ADHD best explains your experiences, or whether another explanation may be more appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Read our most common FAQs below, or visit the full FAQ page for more detailed information.
Is Fluence right for me?
We support adults seeking assessment or care for ADHD, autism, or both. If you’re not sure, our short eligibility check takes two minutes and tells you honestly whether we’re the right fit. If we’re not, we’ll point you to support that is.
You can complete our basic suitability checker by clicking here.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us. We’ll keep your GP informed throughout, with your permission, because joined-up care works better for everyone.
Who can you treat? Do you cover all of the UK?
Our assessments are delivered online across the UK. However, because we’re regulated by the CQC (which covers England) and because medication and shared-care arrangements work differently across the four nations, prescribing and ongoing care are most straightforward for patients registered with a GP in England.
If you live in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, get in touch before booking and we’ll explain exactly what we can offer you.
What don’t you assess?
We focus on adult ADHD and autism. We don’t currently assess children (under 18), and we’re not a general mental health, crisis, or therapy service.
If you’re looking for something outside our scope, feel free to reach out to us anyway – we’ll point you toward the right kind of support rather than leave you to work it out alone.
Can you help if I’m in crisis right now?
We’re not an emergency or crisis service. If you’re struggling to keep yourself safe, please call NHS 111 (option 2 for mental health) or 999. Once you’re stable, we’re here when you’re ready.
Will I definitely get a diagnosis?
No clinic can promise that, and we wouldn’t want to. Our role is to assess carefully and tell you what we find – whether that’s ADHD, autism, both, something else, or no clear diagnosis. Either way, you’ll leave with clarity and recommendations.
How long does it take from enquiry to assessment?
Most patients are seen within 1–4 weeks of getting in touch. Some are faster; some take longer if we need extra information. We’ll always be clear about your timeline upfront.
How much does an assessment cost?
Adult ADHD assessment is £750, autism assessment is £875, and dual ADHD and autism assessment is £1,500. The price includes the full assessment, written report, and treatment recommendations. You can learn more about costs by clicking here.
